We take care of all the details for creating a cozy atmosphere. The double rooms in Hostal Río de Castro are spacious and bright rooms, exterior, either with window or balcony, and with nice views of the city. Their furniture is practical and designed for your comfort. For us the most important aspect in the Hostel is the cleaning, so we offer a daily cleaning service.
All our rooms include all the necessary linen, blankets, etc for your sleep, towels, and amenities (gel, shampoo and soap). All the rooms have TV, heaters, and AC. We offer freely, upon request, hair dryers, iron, cot (baby bed). We want your stay to be perfect!
When reserving, you may choose a room with a private or shared bathroom as well as the type of bed you prefer (double or twin).

The location of Hostal Río de Castro makes it an ideal hostel for visiting Barcelona as it is located next to the Fira Barcelona and Avenida Paralel, one of the main arteries of Barcelona with an important cultural activity (theatres, cinemas…). In addition, other places of interest in Barcelona are accessible on foot such as Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter or the Port area.
The Eixample is not only an architectural showcase, but also a vibrant centre of urban life in Barcelona. With a large number of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes, it is an ideal place for both residents and tourists.
THE RAMBLAS
The Ramblas is one of the most iconic and vibrant avenues in Barcelona, a walk full of life that extends approximately 1,2 kilometers from Plaza de Cataluña to the old port. Known due to its lively atmosphere, this road is a meeting point of locals and tourists.
The Rambla is home to several places of cultural and architectural interest. Among them are:
- The Great Teatre del Liceu: a majestic opera house that has been a cultural icon since the 19th century.
- La Boqueria: a vibrant and colorful market, ideal for tasting fresh and local products.
- El Mirador de Colón: a statue of Christopher Columbus that offers panoramic views of the port and the city.

Less than 10 minutes’ walk away is Plaza España, one of the city’s most emblematic squares that connects Montjuic Park, the Fira Barcelona area and the Palau Sant Jordi.

From there we can visit both Las Ramblas and Passeig de Gràcia, one of Barcelona’s most prestigious and emblematic avenues, known both for its commercial importance and for its architectural wealth, with Casa Batlló, Casa Milà (La Pedrera) or Casa Amatller.
